Simon Wilcox and Shridhar Solanki met in London by accident. But theirs was a beautiful accident and another chance meeting in Los Angeles led to the creation of their critically acclaimed single, ‘Northern Lights’, which made it’s debut in the Twilight Saga film, Breaking Dawn. This was followed by the pair’s debut EP ‘King’.¬†‘Flames’ is the first of many new tracks to come in 2014.
Wilcox and Solanki’s musical mission is to put forth a little more beauty and light into the world. Full of positive energy, love and optimism, their songs resonate with that moment at dusk when the last few brilliant rays of sunshine refract a Cider Sky.

Artist: Jonny Winston Release: JW Label: Stab In The Dark Records Genre: R&B РComtemporary
21st Century Soul. That’s the term that best describes Jonny Winston. The JW EP is a melting pot; four songs that are a mix of soul, acoustic, electronic, bass and house, an example of what happens when you grow up listening to Dre and Al Green, to loving Stevie Wonder and digging Underworld. Jonny’s SB:TV debut is a “stripped bare” version of Flatline from the EP, showing his guitar skills and putting that voice right out there, a voice that makes this EP stand out in today’s pop-soul RnB crowd…
Artist: Wanda Davis Release: Where Did You Sleep Last Night Label: Secret Stash Records Genre: R&B РFunk & Soul
Spine-tingling, deep cover version from the ‘Minnesota Queen of Soul’, pretender to Sharon Jones crown.¬†In 1969 Wanda Davis recorded her one and only record, ‘Save Me’ B/W ‘Take Care’. It has since become one of the most collectible soul records on the planet, regularly fetching over $1,000 online. In the years since ’69, Davis has kept her chops up in the best possible way, at church. ‘Where Did You Sleep Last Night’ finds this rediscovered soul sensation performing a haunting, soulful rendition of a classic murder ballad dating back to the late 1800’s, later popularized by Leadbelly.
Artist: Grum Release: In Love Label: Heartbeats Genre: Dance РHouse РBig Room

Topped off with remixes from Barrientos and Brett Gould, ‘In Love’ is a huge release! The Scottish producer once again marries his love for underground house sounds with an innate talent for producing laser-guided melodies. The result is a head-rush inducing combination of pianos, synths, beats and bass and a track that stands out and sparkles like a diamond on the grimy floor of a warehouse rave.

Artist: James Vincent McMorrow Release: Post Tropical Label: Believe Recordings Genre: Alternative
James Vincent McMorrow releases his second album ‘Post Tropical’ via Believe Records in the UK and Vagrant Records in the US (The Hold Steady, PJ Harvey, Edward Sharpe). The new album was born on a pecan farm half a mile from the Mexican border- a collection of sounds and ideas brought to life in rooms where the low frequencies of passing freight trains vibrated in the studio, briefly disturbing the birds in the rafters. And like most new ideas, ‘Post Tropical’ is hard to describe. It requires attention and engagement. It seduces you towards hidden depths.
Artist:  Anushka Release: Never Can Decide Label: : Brownswood Recordings Genre: Dance РHouse
Songs with the laidback charm of ‘Never Can Decide’ are why Anushka are on course to make a load of new friends in 2014.¬†The Brighton-based duo made up of producer Max Wheeler and singer/songwriter Victoria Port¬†distill its charms into 4.33 of bubbling effervescence.¬†Victoria’s heart-torn lyrics twist and turn over the vicissitudes of romance. Meanwhile, Max’s production brings to mind the dusty soulfulness of Moodyman, the futurism of Jacques Greene not to mention a hint of pop-wise love songs of Brit electro classics like Freez’s ‘I.O.U’ or MJ Cole’s ‘Sincere’.
Singer/Songwriter Nadine Kramer of the Cologne, Germany band Johna came to Los Angeles to work with Norah Jones producer Peter Malick. The result is this powerful 3 song Mini EP, ‘Break The Silence’.¬†Johna maintains a busy touring schedule throughout Europe, and is looking forward to their second US/Canada tour in 2014.¬†Break The Silence features ex Ozomatli, and present Wallflowers drummer Mario Calire, Blood Sweat & Tears bassist Jon Ossman.

On the flip side, Smooth teams up with his Telekinesis partner Markoman for a triplet banger with ‘Kronos’.
Artist: Neguim Beats Release: Sweet Life Label: Darker Than Wax Genre: R&B РHip Hop

Neguim Beats evokes an innate connection with the listener, fast becoming an anomaly in the relationship between artistes and fans.
